Coronavirus (COVID-19): Our Response For Our Camps

In light of recent events with the World Health Organisation declaring the coronavirus (COVID-19) a global pandemic we would like to make public our response in relation to our Easter Camps coming up in April. Currently, we plan to go ahead with our camps, however, at this unprecedented time, our top priority is of course the health of our coaches, players and parents. Therefore, I would like to let you know that we will be taking the following additional measures during our camps:

  • Anyone with flu-like symptoms on the day, however mild, should avoid the risk of spreading their infection, whatever that infection may be, by staying at home and not come to any days of the camp. We will give you the option to either receive a full refund or secure a place on one of our summer camps.
  • All players must wash hands before the commencement of each session, before lunch and of course at the end of the day. We will be providing hand sanitiser or antibacterial soap to use with water, however please do bring your own if you would like.
  • The use of cricket balls should be limited to the balls supplied by us and therefore please do not bring your own cricket balls.
  • Don’t use handshakes – our coaches will not be shaking hands with players and/or parents. We will advise players to abide by this rule too.
  • Any player or parent from a “vulnerable” group please do not come to our camps, this includes older adults and people who have serious chronic medical conditions like heart problems, diabetes or lung disease. If the player who is supposed to attend our camp has any underlying conditions aforementioned then please stay at home and we will give you the option to either receive a full refund or secure a place on one of our summer camps.
  • If anyone has recently returned from one of the “at risk” countries within two weeks prior to the camp listed below please do not come to our camp and we will give you the option to either receive a full refund or secure a place on one of our summer camps (NB: This list may change so please keep checking back!):
    • Italy
    • Spain
    • Thailand
    • Vietnam
    • Myanmar
    • Japan
    • Cambodia
    • China
    • Iran
    • Republic of Korea
    • Hong Kong
    • Macau
    • Laos
    • Malaysia
    • Singapore
    • Taiwan

This pandemic is of course ever changing and we will continually monitor the situation and follow any advice from Public Health England, the ECB, Bucks Cricket Board, Amersham CC and Hurley CC.

We hope you are staying well and healthy and we will update our website with the latest information as and when we receive it.

All the best,

Tim Doughty
Managing Director
