We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Bovingdon Cricket Club to provide coaches for their weekly sessions and private coaching services when required. We would like to welcome Bovingdon CC and we very much look forward to working with them and their colts section going forward.
Bovingdon Cricket Club is a small, friendly village club with a beautiful home ground on Bovingdon Green. It is situated between Chesham and Hemel Hempstead and the village has a thriving and friendly community. The club has two adult teams that play weekly and has many keen players who like to volunteer and give back to the younger cricketers.
The Bovingdon CC Chairman, Tom Rodwell, said: “Bovingdon Cricket Club is delighted to be partnering with Cricket Vision in delivering both All stars and Dynamos cricket programmes from 14th May. Bovingdon ran junior cricket programmes for some years until 2018, when a shortage of volunteers forced us to stop. Cricket Vision's innovative platform has enabled us to resurrect our Colts, and we believe that Cricket Vision could be the answer to similar village clubs like ourselves who want to encourage young cricketers, but who just don't have the resources to run safe, cost effective and enjoyable junior programmes ourselves.”
Our CEO, Tim Doughty, commented “We are thrilled to be working with Bovingdon CC and look forward to supporting the club in setting up their colts section after a few years without providing colts cricket at all. After restrictions being in place for the most part of the last year, we are glad to be helping a small cricket club bounce back from COVID-19 and provide children in the area some much needed cricket activity! We are excited to start their colts sessions on Friday 14th May.”
